IB and Me
Welcome back! This is my IB and Me page. IB stands for a lot of things but the one that makes the most sense for school is International Baccalaureate. That is an educational foundation in Switzerland. If I were to pick three IB traits, I would pick Thinker, Risk Taker, and Caring. I think that I am a thinker because I really take the time to think and get the situation correct instead of just putting down a random answer that doesn't even make any sense. Another example is when you are taking a test or quiz. For example one time I was taking the MEAP in elementary school and I was stumped on a question and I had to rethink the question. Sometimes when I am stumped on a question I will take a little break or just skip the question. That's important because you have to think back and try to remember what the answer is from studying. A class when it really takes the time to think is Design Technology. You have to create artwork on a computer and you have to think outside of the box. That's when risk taker comes in. You have to take risks and chances to see what something would look one way or the other. What I mean by that is if you are making a cartoon character and you don't know how the nose would look and you have to take a risk to see if it looks good or not. If you don't like it at first you might end up liking it if you add something that you think would look good. Now, for caring. Caring is a really good trait to be because if you are always mean to people and being rude and not caring about them your friends will not be your friends and it gets boring if you have no friends to hangout with. When you care for other people anywhere in the world you tend to feel really good about yourself. I think I am caring because if someone was being mean to someone else I would help them and stick up for them (care about their feelings). For, example (this is a story from my old school and in elementary), it was at recess and this girl was crying and I asked her why. She said someone was calling her mean names and I told our school counselor. She said that it really helped and I felt really good about myself. There are lots of reasons how you could be an IB trait and that's how I was and still am.
